Three teams vying for top spot in the 21 & Under Division

In an epic day of Indoor Cricket, South Australia Black, Queensland and Western Australia solidified their place at the top of the table in the 21 & Under division at the 2018 National Indoor Cricket Championships. 

Morning Matches


With the skill of Melbourne Renegades young gun Mackenzie Harvey, Victoria defeated South Australia Red 89-57. Harvey's crafty medium pace was prolific in his sides victory, finishing with figures of 3/1. 

In the clash between the ACT and New South Wales Metro, the ACT defeated their rivals 89-74. 

Ladder leaders Western Australia blitzed a staggered New South Wales Country 161-63, with West Australian Callum Wiggers the dominant force scoring 23 runs and finished with figures of 4/-13. 

Across the way from the WA demolition, Queensland were narrow victors over South Australia Black 92-83. 

Evening Matches


The battle between Victoria and New South Wales Country saw the two sides split by only 4 runs. Batting first, New South Wales Country posted 86, and in reply Victoria held their nerve, reaching 90 runs from their four batting pairs. 

On Court 3, Queensland recorded their second victory of the day, defeating South Australia Red 101-57. 

Having both lost their matches earlier in the day, both South Australia Black and New South Wales Metro were in need of a victory.  Despite posting a competitive 75, New South Wales Metro were outclassed by the South Australian’s, who finished on 108 runs; winners by 33 runs. 

In the final clash of the evening, the ACT were victors over Western Australia 97-88. 


At the completion of the days play, South Australia Black (36 points), Queensland (35 points) and Western Australia (34 points) lead the division.
